The profile of the school ( Modern agricultural school )
Secondary agricultural and gardening school has existed for 60 years. In September 1999 it celebrated its foundation. The school is located in a beautiful area of Čaklov. It is a village near the district Vranov nad Topľou in the East of Slovakia.
Despite the fact that the various branches of study had been changing, the school has been always orientated on agriculture. On one hand agriculture does not seem to be very attractive profession but on the other hand we have to realize that the food and agricultural products will be still needed.
Since the social and political changes in 1989 the whole character of agriculture and agricultural system of education have changed a lot. However, the agriculture is an important part of the national economy. People who gain the proper and required knowledge of their profession can produce the agricultural products of the best quality.
The present branches of study and the separate specialization are being innovated and regularly adopted to modern conditions.

Undertaking in agriculture
The graduates of that branch of study are skilled people with wide specialized profile. They can do all activities concerned with technical, economical, technological management of agriculture in the livestock and plant production. After the sixth months training the graduates are prepared for performing in agricultural, zootechnical. Bud economical activities in agricultural enterprises and farms as well.
According to knowledge students should know the principles of bookkeeping, management and statistics to solve the technology of plant and animal husbandry. They gain the skills in car and tractor driving.

Gardening
The graduates of that branch of study are skilled people with wide specialized profile as well. They should know the agricultural and gardening species of plants, the basic of genetics that helps in the process of cultivating to increase the crop of the plants. They gain the basic of nutrition and fertilization. They get the principles of plants protection, the valid technological, qualitative and hygienic norms and the important principles of gardening production

Agricultural and Horticultural High School
Secondary Agricultural and Gardening School - it is a kind of high school which provides its students complete high education finished with school leaving examination, especially for those who:
* have a special liking for nature, soil, growing plants, trees, flowers, vegetables, fruit and other crops….
* have a special liking for breeding of cattle and other animals, beekeeping…
* have a sense for aesthetics, special liking for beauty of landscape, and protection of environment,
* are interested in agriculture, undertaking, farmery, management and providing services regarding to agriculture,
* want to obtain driving licence for the following groups: A, B, M, T,…
* want to spend the time of their life on a well-equipped school ( specialistic classrooms, computer technique, car simulator, laboratories, college, school gym, playground, park, botanical system and pomological garden, greenhouses…)
* want to obtain complete high school education finished by school leaving examinations
* want to obtain theoretic and special bases for studying at university

Secondary Technical Transport School - it is a kind of high school which provides its students complete high education in the sphere of transport, finished by school leaving examination, especially for those who:
* have a special liking for transport, economics of transport and its operating
* have a special liking for motoring, automobile industry, motor vehicles,
* want to know economic perspectives and its design,
* want to work in the sphere of motoring and transport
* want to learn the construction of motor vehicles and how to operate it,
* like travelling, learn countries and the world,
* want to learn about the whole traffic network not only in Slovakia, but also in Europe and in the whole world,
* want to carry on with their studies at university
* want to obtain driving licence for the following group: C and so become a proper road user
* want to live a full-value life in a third millennium – in the age of technology, automatization, robotics and computer technique,
* want to assert themselves within the European Union
