1. Is Malamute wolf partially ?
With high probability, Malamute is not related to wolf for a long time. The similarity to wolf can be mostly explained by similar environmental conditions.

2. And what about Malamute during summer ?
Constant supply of water, shaded place, possibly to take a dog inside the house where he/she will find proper place on his/her own. We can add ice cubes into water for dog - they will maintain the water cold. Dogs usually will lose the majority of fur before summer heat - nevertheless, they should not be exerted during summer. Light exercise can be performed early in the morning or after sunset. Malamutes are very adaptable but they should avoid rapid changes of enviroment.
3. How do they tolerate children ?
Thanks to their gentle character, Malamute is a popular family dog. Usually, they love the presence of children - but due to their powerfulness, they should not be left with children without adult surveillance. Literally, dog makes up to children but don`t let the child to hurt a dog. Thus, we raise well socialized dog (and children too).
4. Can they be kept in a flat ?
Except the moulting period, they can be easily kept in a flat. They are silent and clean and walk cautiously. If they choose their place (in the summer -  stones on floor in the bathroom, in the winter - possibly soft cushions of your bed)  - they spend whole hours there. On other hand, they need a lot of exercise.

5. How much do they eat ?
They love food, but they have relatively low consumption. It depends on the level of metabolism and activity. Working dog eats approx. 4 cups of highly nourishing food a day.
6. What kind of training do they require ?
With the training of basic commands, we start only after 6th month of age - time, when the locomotive system of a dog is well developed. Until this time, games are sufficient.
7. Do they pull dogsled with high speed ?
Malamute is a fast dog, but he is not as fast as Siberian Husky, and therefore he is not typical dog for sprint races - he is better for mid and long distance races. More often, Malamutes are used for polar expeditions and for weight-pulling competitions.

8. Do they fight with other dogs ?
No, they try to come to agreement with other dogs. Aggressivity of this kind would predetermine them to inactivity and put to death early. However, it can happen that badly socialized dog can show the signs of aggressivity - this can be prevented by proper socialization with other dogs.
9. Are they stupid ?
No, they are outstandingly intelligent and independently behaving dogs. People often misinterpret their difficult ability to be trained as "stupidity". The key issue in training is to maintain their attention and to stimulate their intelligence. Therefore, it is better to communicate with them and "keep the deals".
10. What cold do they withstand ?
The only limitation is not to let wet dog in temperatures about 0 degrees C -  we have to force him to moving or to give him opportunity to dry up in warm room, or to dry up him by rugging with a straw or bath towel. Dry cold can dog overcome easily - temperature below minus 20 degrees C are even suitable for working.
